Buying Text Link’s: It Works.

by Jack on August 21, 2007

So, On Friday, I bought a site wide text-link on Tyler Cruz’s site.  I was skeptical as to what effect’s it might have, but any skepticism was erased yesterday morning when I decided to check on the stats quickly.

Alexa: Seems to have changed for the better, about 100k off that large 6 figure number since Friday.

Technorati:  Showed the most immediate change. On friday, our Authority was sitting at 21, by the end of Monday it was 30, and climbing as more pages were indexed. This took our overall rank from the 270,000 range to the 210,000 bracket which we are currently enjoying.

RSS Subscribers: I really should get that Feedburner chicklet working, for some reason, it doesn’t like to display correctly. However, back on topic - if we did have the chicklet, you would have seen an increase of 13 subscribers for the weekend, bringing the total to 63.

Conclusion: For the price that it costs to have a link for a month, I would venture that it is a very economical way to drive some much needed traffic to your site. I am very happy with this decision and am thinking about purchasing more links this week.

These links are all coordinated through Text-Link-Ads, you can get started with them here.
