Around 7:00am this morning Google made a press release on the official Google blog stating that they have released 6 new themes for the personal Google home pages. The new themes include:
- City
- Sky
- Winter
- Teahouse
- beach
- bustop
These themes are CSS based and they are looking for suggestions, so get on that.
Google is quite impressed with themselves and even made a funny in this posting :
“If you add the beach theme, for example (changes with time of day), it will ask you for your Zip code and adjust itself to match your local sunrise and sunset times. So if you happen to be stuck in a windowless office, you can at least crack open a cold one and watch the sun set over your desktop “
They think because they make obscene amounts of money and their work day ends at 2:00pm they get to laugh at everyone else… Well, I guess that’s a pretty good reason.
