General

I just can’t give it up.

I’m learning an important life lesson right now, yes, even as I type this. This one is not coming easy either, as I’ve been wading through the mess for the better part of 3 or so years now. It can however, be summed up in one word: balance. Life is all about balance. You tip the scale too far one way by overloading yourself, and it comes crashing down - to put it in unnecessarily metaphoric terms. No need to be specific with this balance issue, it’s pretty easy to take a moment and think about your own life; right away you know which things you don’t do enough of, and what you spend too much time doing. For me, it has been a mess of football, school, a certain Blizzard Entertainment product, poor grades, poor spending habits, poor health, better health, exercising, football training etc etc etc - in no particular order or importance.

So, the point of that wall of text/ramble/rant is that you should take time each day, or week at the very least, and make some priorities, but also make sure that you are balanced. So many cliches can be used right now, and as an accounting/business student, I bet I can think of more than you. But remember, balance, in everything you do.

I’d like to thank all of my good friends for coming on a camping trip that I planned this past weekend. I think it was good for all of us city folk to get a little nature into our balance, as well as they finally got to see what kind of crazy stuff I do during the summer when I disappear for long periods of time. So, guys and gals, thanks again, love you all.

That will about do it for this post/all that mushy stuff - I’m giving you my word that we will talk more about business, tech and the world from now on. After all, I am an academic now. Eh.

    1. I’ve always felt technology, if properly implemented, can help us be much more efficient and therefore help make life more balanced. I’m also considering using a specialized copywriting software called Glyphius. Has anyone had any experience with this? It is supposed to use statistical analysis to optimize the wording of your advertising copy. I’d be interested in hearing any feedback, good or bad. Thanks

    2. I don’t have much experience with copywriting, therefore, I don’t think I would be a very good control mechanism when experimenting with copywriting software.
