Yes, you can call me the tax man! I’ve started my new job in Toronto, working at an accounting firm in the Merger’s and Aquisitions Tax department. I was originally scheduled for Audit (I know that word strikes fear into the heart of many) but I found out that I was moved last minute. I am learning more than I imagined I would! After the conclusion of my first day, I had the knowledge required to do all my own, and my families taxes, i.e - any sort of personal tax return. Very interesting stuff, lots of forms to fill out and some calculations, but not as complicated as you might think. My favorite part though, is corporate tax returns. Confidentiality is a big issue, so we do our very best to uphold it, so I will not discuss anything in detail. However, should you want to know about any of the Canada Revenue Agency’s many, many forms - such as the T106, or the CT-23 - I may be able to help.
I would like to also apologize for the lack of posts for the past few weeks. It took a lot of getting organized for the job, and I was even out of town for a week of training. I am fairly situated now, and should be able to return to regular frequency, so I hope I didn’t lose to many faithful’s over the long break.
I don’t know if I covered the new theme, but yes, there is a new theme, as you probably noticed. If not, let me refer you to a good optometrist.
Anyways, I look forward to posting about the new exploits within my life in the near future, and another apology to all my readers who’s blogs I have not visited in a while.
Also, A Big Happy Birthday to my brother, Andrew. Happy Birthday buddy.
 That’s all for now!
